Season 1 Squid Game It’s full of mysteries, unexpected twists, shocking developments, and just plain shocking developments. Very The Netflix hit has received critical acclaim, winning six Emmy Awards and becoming the first non-English language show to be nominated for Outstanding Drama Series, so it’s no wonder fans are wondering what to expect when the show returns in December.
In a new video shared as part of Netflix’s ongoing Geeked Week, stars Lee Jung-jae (last season’s surprising but impossible-to-help-root-for winner Song Ki-hoon), Lee Byung-hun (the frontman, a character who’s arguably still hiding a big secret), and Wi Ha-jun (strong-willed detective Hwang Jun-ho) pull up chairs to respond to fan theories compiled by viewers around the world.
teeth Squid Game Will fans theorize a universal language that connects us all? It’s totally possible!
Here are our favorite suggestions:
- Season 2 will reveal more about the jumpsuit-wearing Squid Games staff from Season 1 and presumably tell the same events from their perspective. Wi Ha-joon likes this theory, but… no.
- The color of the envelope that the Squid Game contestants choose during the recruitment process has a special meaning. Lee Byung-hun responded to the fan who wrote about this theory with a straight face, “I think you’re the only one who thought that.”
- Ki-hoon seeks revenge on the loan sharks who got him into the game in the first place. “Do you think that kind-hearted Song Ki-hoon would do something to hurt someone?” Lee Jeong-jae asks cheerfully as footage of his character brutally attacking someone from Season 1 is shown on screen.
The only solid information revealed from the video is that Season 2 will feature “many new games,” “all of which are Korean games,” and that “Season 2 is more interesting than all of these theories combined.” And of course, this video tells us Squid GameThe three stars of are returning, all of whom are far more fascinating in real life than the characters they play on the show.
New cast members for season two include Im Si-wan, Kang Ha-neul, Park Gyu-young, Lee Jin-wook, Park Sung-hoon, Yang Dong-geun, Kang Ae-sim, Lee David, Choi Seung-hyun, Noh Jae-won, Jo Yu-ri, and Won Ji-an. We still don’t know much about who they’re playing, if you want to squeeze in a few more guesses! (Based on the video, it appears that neither Park nor Jo are playing the grown-up version of Ki-hoon’s young daughter.)
All will become clear. At least more It will be revealed, and a third and final season is also planned. Squid Game Season 2 will be available on Netflix on December 26th.
