Abortion abolitionists protest outside an IVF clinic in Texas.

In recent years, more than a dozen states have enacted laws banning nearly all abortions. These include exceptions for rape, incest, and to protect the life of the mother. But a small and vocal group of anti-abortion activists argue that even these exceptions are morally wrong. They want to ban all abortions, as well as some infertility treatments, including in vitro fertilization. They believe that unborn children are entitled to the same rights as humans.
