Universal Asked That Scenes Be Added Back Into ‘Jurassic World Rebirth’

3 Min Read

There’s a reason the world’s largest and most famous filmmakers want a “final cut” of the film. That’s because they don’t want them to influence their vision. Often, when the studio interferes with editing, it’s about making the film shorter. However, the opposite happened in the new one Jurassic film, Revival of Jurassic World.

reproduction Filming began in June 2024 and ended in October 2024, and shortly after Christmas, director Gareth Edwards was ready to show the studio. “I decided to do a movie that’s under two hours,” Edwards told IO9. “And we showed this in an hour 59 [minute] Cut into the studio. And essentially their notes were, “Great, can you put in the 5 minutes you cut out?” And we went back these 5 minutes, and it was essentially a movie. ”

This is not to say that nothing has hit the cutting room floor. There was a very tight turnaround, especially for a blockbuster of this size, but Edwards said there are probably three deleted scenes available in the home release. The two were fine with the amputation. He is very torn apart.

“I really wanted it [it] To stay in the film,” Edwards said. “I really liked it. And it was a baby-like moment. I don’t ruin it for people, but there’s a section in front of the gas station and it was like being hunted once. Something was coming. And it was a note from. [writer] David Cape was essentially the third act. If you give it a name, it would “run like hell.” And basically once they start running, it doesn’t let them stop. And it felt like it had stopped again. And we removed that idea, those beats, and it got much better. But I really like what happened where they stopped. And it becomes an extra. ”
