Trump says Elon Musk will lead ‘DOGE’ office to cut ‘wasteful’ government spending

I am pleased to announce that the great Elon Musk will be joining forces with American patriot Vivek Ramaswamy to lead the Department of Government Efficiency (“DOGE”). These two great Americans are working together to ensure that my administration dismantles government bureaucracy, cuts overregulation, cuts wasteful spending, and makes the federal agencies essential to the Save America movement. It will pave the way for rebuilding. “This is going to be a shock to the entire system and to many people involved in government waste!” Musk said.

It would potentially become a modern-day “Manhattan Project.” Republican politicians have long dreamed of DOGE goals. To drive this type of fundamental change, the Department of Government Efficiency provides advice and guidance from outside the government, working with the White House and Office of Management and Budget to drive major structural reforms, and provide government startups. We are planning to establish a home approach. I’ve never seen it before.

I look forward to seeing Elon and Vivek transform the federal bureaucracy with a focus on efficiency while making life better for all Americans. The key is to eliminate the massive waste and fraud that exists across the $6.5 trillion in annual government spending. They will work together to free up our economy and hold the U.S. government accountable to WE THE PEOPLE. Their work is expected to be completed by July 4, 2026 at the latest. A smaller government with more efficiency and less bureaucracy would be the perfect gift to America on the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence. I’m sure they will succeed!
