Toronto Blue Jays troll Cleveland Browns, Guardians

2 Min Read

Canada doesn’t have an NFL team, but that didn’t stop the Toronto Blue Jays from trolling the Cleveland Browns on Thursday.

In the three innings in a 6-0 victory over the Blue Jays’ Cleveland Guardians, Cleveland’s base-handed Kyle Manzard mimicked a pick-off throw from pitcher Tanner Bibibee, with Toronto Center Fielder Miles Straw scoring from third to third.

Adding shaming to the error, the Blue Jays X account took a jab in the Browns’ busy quarterback room using a Guardian pitch dubbing.

The Browns head into the 2025 season with log jams at quarterback. After selecting two signal batteries in the 2025 NFL Draft, there are four players competing for the starting roll or backup spot for Joe Fraco, Kenny Pickett, Dillon Gabriel and Chedure Sanders.

Still on the roster and owing $92 million over the next two years, Dehaun Watson has recovered from Achilles’ injury, which cut short a season for the second straight year, and could continue to stand by in 2025.

After Thursday’s game, it’s safe to say that the Guardians are definitely not in a position to help the Browns with quarterback issues.
