The top five will pitch live on Vivatech on June 11th, with the winners showing at the Vivatech Global Awards Chrester on June 12th. Ceremony pitch slots, free startup corners at Vivatech 2026, and coveted spots at TechCrunch Startup Battlefield 200. The award not only a great idea, but also acknowledges the team that transforms bold vision into a game-changing reality.
This year’s applicants blew us away. From wearing glasses to becoming an autonomous guide dog and building photonic chips that can redefine computing, to convert mining waste into carbon sinks, this short list is full of breakthrough thinking with real-world stakes. We saw a bunch of microbots for space exploration, an AI that reads your mind to control the device, and a bioelectron implant that fights brain cancer.
These startups are taking science, design and engineering to new heights, particularly in areas such as sustainability, human-machine interfaces, advanced diagnostics and accessible healthcare. What stood out was boldness. These teams not only solve problems, they are building a future from scratch. It would be incredibly difficult to choose five finalists, let alone one winner. All of this top 30 startups have already won serious bragging rights.
