Today’s mini-crossword wasn’t all that difficult, but it did have one double clue that I hate. For example, we are taught that 7-Across is “an adjective paired with 3-Down in a simile.” Dear New York Times puzzle authors, if you already know what 3-Down is, that’s great. i haven’t. So I leave it blank, go back and forth, and eventually it’s all filled in. Need answers and tips? Read more.
