Event attendees can expect and give back to those who were in the foster care system, kinship care, or supported foster youth, so they can expect an evening of charm and repay them.
“It’s a purposeful prom, and everyone will leave with more than just memories. …We can have live entertainment, delicious food, surprise performances and of course dance all night,” says Haddish, 45.
“Beyond the fun, it’s about supporting foster parents and creating opportunities for the next generation,” she continues.
The philanthropist also wants the star-studded fête to make guests feel like their absolute best self.
“I chose the prom theme because I met many adults who had never had the opportunity to go to. …I went to three proms and I loved it.
To recreate that feeling, Girls’ trip The actress leaned towards this year’s groovy theme with her appearance. And make sure it’s pre-selected.
“I won’t change anything about my experience, except to make sure my dress was made before the prom, not at least a day ago. …I bring all the soul train flavours.

“I’m a firm believer in creating a place where you’re better. You’ve seen what’s wrong. You know what needs to be fixed. If you have the ability to help or improve something, why don’t you do that at least a bit?”
“My grandma said, ‘If I step into the bathroom, I’ll make it better than I found it.’ So in my mind, this is to wipe the sink with my version,” she points out.
“This population is often ignored, so foster youth gather together to raise and raise foster youth and make me sing my heart. She’s ready I’ll add it.
