After six movies, some great moments, and a bloody list of health and safety violations, why do so many people dare to return to the “Jurassic Park” series, the titular vacation spot from hell? It’s strange. However, even after all the deaths (which many expected), some characters were able to reappear in later chapters by their own choice. You idiots.
Although a handful of brave scientists and dinosaur owners risked their lives and returned to do more, two people in particular were most prolific. To date, Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard, Sam Neill, and Laura Dern have all starred in three films in this larger-scale story. Pratt and Howard co-starred in Jurassic World and Fallen Kingdom before teaming up with Neil and Dern in Jurassic World: Dominion. The 2022 film marks the latter pair’s third appearance together, after co-starring in Jurassic Park (still clearly the best) and Jurassic Park III.
But when it comes to everyone’s favorite hairy-chested hero, Ian Malcolm (aka Jeff Goldblum), he’s appeared in four of the six movies so far, and he lives up to it every time. Goldblum isn’t the only one to appear four times. BD Wong’s Henry Wu appears just as much, but he wasn’t always on the right side of history when he appeared.

If there’s any blemish on the original “Jurassic Park” movie, it’s that BD Wong’s warm and enthusiastic geneticist Dr. Henry Wu became such a traitor in “Jurassic World.” . Wong’s rotten return to action, returning in the series reboot and then as a borderline Bond villain in Jurassic Park: Fallen Kingdom, was compelling, if sloppy.
In Colin Trevorrow’s Jurassic World, Wu is the rebranded attraction’s lead geneticist and creator of the Indominus Rex. This is of great concern to all reasonable people who think dinosaurs that can camouflage themselves are bad. “Fallen Kingdom” sees him playing a god again, and because it worked so well last time, he creates the Indoraptor as yet another potential military weapon Fair enough. Thankfully, by the time Jurassic World: Dominion rolled around, Wu had learned his lesson just in time, as the world was about to be overrun with dinosaurs. Good luck, Mr. Wu.
For Wong, he was just grateful for giving more time to the character, saying: variety In 2022, he said, “I have no bones about it. I came out of ‘Jurassic Park’ thinking that this character is completely underserved, and I’m like, ‘Well, no one cares about him.’ I entered that world thinking, “I didn’t have that.” And Colin Trevorrow, word of mouth, brought him into a world where everything he did really mattered and really influenced other things. I’m always really grateful to be the actor that was able to do that. ”
We’ll have to wait and see if either character will appear in “Jurassic World: Rebirth” on July 2, 2025.
