When we finally parted ways with Joel and Ellie, The Last of Us, Things took a decidedly different turn in the series. Sure, they had safely returned to Jackson and the group of survivors living there, but Joel hadn’t told Ellie the whole truth. I mean, he took out a bunch of fireflies who were trying to find a cure and got her out of there before they could get her.

Because of this, the two enter Season 2 of The Last of Us with a rocky father-daughter relationship that will no doubt be difficult to reconcile. Since Joel and Ellie’s relationship is the heart (and really the whole thing) of this great show, we knew it was likely going to get even rougher before it gets easier.

and that certainly seems to be the case the last of us Season 2 trailer. Things start off on a sombre and introspective note, but we soon realize that the world is cruel and that their relationship is far from the biggest problem.

Oh baby. Once again, things start off on a gentle note, with Catherine O’Hara speaking to Pedro Pascal’s Joel about his inner struggles and relationship with Ellie. It’s clear what she’s trying to do, and she needs him to open up about his feelings and actions.

However, it didn’t take long for the outside to creep in and crash into this group. As fans of the game will already know, there are plenty of attacks, and we also get a glimpse of new characters this season.

With Pearl Jam’s “Future Days” in the background, the last of us Season 2 is a slow and scary build, with outside forces intersecting with the problems Joel and Ellie are already facing.

As we already found out in the series and games, the last of us Season 2 reminds us that there’s a lot more at stake than the cordyceps virus that infects much of the world.

Indeed, there is a mass stampede situation occurring in the Jackson community. But there are some humans who perhaps pose an even greater threat.

in the last of us Season 2 features Jeffrey Wright as Isaac Dixon (reprising his role in the game), leading his own militia in the quest for freedom. And Abby, played by Kaitlyn Deaver, is out for revenge after what happened on Fireflies at the end of season one.

Overall, the last of us The trailer for season 2 looks like it’s bringing just as much, if not more, to the show than we saw in its first go around. This was easily one of the best video game TV series adaptations I’ve ever seen, with the source material beautifully and brutally translated to the screen.

the last of us Season 2 is scheduled to run for seven episodes and is expected to be released on Max in 2025.
