The future is here and everyone is using it to write letters, draw funny pictures, and take orders at Taco Bell. The Terminator is not here yet.
So, now that it’s here, maybe we should stop treating it like it’s some kind of all-pop-culture nightmare.
No, I’m not saying we should start trusting AI completely, I’m just saying that I think there’s a huge opportunity to explore between blindly entrusting our future to AI and the growing number of stories about AI being the harbinger of the apocalypse, and we might all be better off sticking to that exploration.
Because here it is, and if there are any more Terminator movies, I doubt they’ll be named. Terminator: Everything’s fine, just calm down.
