Hello friends! Have a great week! Both kids are having a day off today because the weather is bad…and it’s my birthday!
TBH, I don’t usually enjoy birthdays. It’s already been a year on the calendar. It’s a concrete reminder of what I want to accomplish but haven’t yet.
This year feels different than usual. This year, I’m just so thankful for this life, our family, our friends who are like family, and another year of amazing memories. I heard a rumor that being in your 40s is better than being in your 30s, so I believe it’s true!
Here are some of the things I’ve learned after spending 40 years on this beautiful Earth.
– Start each day with gratitude. It affects how you think and act throughout the day.
– It’s okay to change your mind when presented with new information.
– Trust God with all your heart.
– Just because something works for one person doesn’t mean it will work for everyone.
– Your health is one of the best investments you can make. When you’re sick, nothing else matters.
– Forgiveness is a gift you give yourself
– The healing power of walking outdoors in the sunshine
– Everything is temporary. This is both a good thing and a bad thing.
– Your habits and mindset reflect who you surround yourself with. My tribe inspires me every day in motherhood, work, relationships, and life.
– Live a life true to the person you love. Find something fun to do in your day.
– Stay grounded in the present, while being grateful for the past and hopeful for the future.
Thank you, friends, for joining me on my journey.
We spend the day wandering around and end the evening with gluten-free funfetti cake.
See you tomorrow!
