Hello friends! I hope your morning is going well. There’s a long post about building a healthy relationship with food tomorrow, but today I wanted to re-embarrass this old-fashioned, yet again to honor this upcoming “All Things Green” holiday.
This is not only the best St. Patrick’s Day cocktail, but it’s the best cocktail anytime.
There isn’t much “Ireland” about me. There’s a bit on my great grandmother’s side. I married an Irish man because of the fact that I used an Irish step dance (which had an average slip jig). He introduced me to some great things about his family culture – they actually own a bar in Ireland. It has a rich sweetness to it, it is very rich and absolutely perfect for the upcoming holidays, so it has come a little long.
We had a rather memorable St. Patrick’s time, like when we visited Savannah and when power emerged throughout the city. (I was sure it was an alien or some sort of attack.) But with everything we spent together, my favorite was watching a movie the night we were home at Valdosta and drinking a bunch of this cocktail.
My version uses almond milk and the pilot uses heavy cream or regular milk.
[One of these things is not like the others. Also, these are older pics but my go-to almond milk right now is the Malk brand]
You know, I tend to stay away from dairy products for health/skin/autoimmune reasons. Don’t leave Bailey’s Irish Cream for any reason.
This is my favorite cocktail recipe. I call it “The Lucky Irish Girl.” I’m mostly Irish in the Association, but St. Paddy is one of my favourite holidays. We hope you enjoy this drink just like we do!

Lucky Irish Girl Cocktail
This is the best St. Patrick’s Day cocktail!
- -1 oz baileys
- -1/2 Ozkarua
- -1/2 Oz Franjelico
- – Choose 2oz milk (heavy cream, coconut or almond milk)
- – Coloring Spinach or Green Food (optional)
- Mix all the ingredients in the cocktail shaker with a little ice.
- Shaking it!
- Strain, pour and raise the bottom.
Note
- If you use spinach to color your drink, mix it with the drink.
I blended my spinach and a slightly festive green cocktail, but sadly I won’t turn it into a magically healthy elixir (bonus vitamins! haha). It will be clean, but you can also use natural green food coloring.
On the holidays, you can also make a warm Irish coffee of love with Irish whiskey, or a Guinness shot with Bailey. It’s always classic. Green beer is always a family favorite.
cheers!
What is your favorite mocktail or cocktail recipe? This is my greatest favorite of all time and I also love some good sangria and these spring mocktail recipes.
