We share a summary of the best non-toxic air fryers.
Hello friends! Happy Monday and Happy St. Patrick’s Day! what’s happening? P has spring break and the girls have normal activities. I’ll head to San Diego later this week. I can’t wait.
In today’s post, I wanted to chat a bit about the non-toxic air fryer and share what I’ve been using for the past few months. Before sharing some of the options, I wanted to talk about the original air fryer I got a few years ago.
When I first got my air fryer, I was pumped. I knew it would be like an instant pot. It scared me, but I ended up using it every day.
Before using it for the first time, I read online that it is important to wash it with soap and water and run for a few hours to get rid of the chemical odor. It should have been a red flag, but I did it. I washed it well and ran for a few hours while we were home. Our house was immediately smelt of plastic and I had to open the back door outside our house. A few hours later I made a situation with sausages, potatoes, peppers and onions. Everything was cooked beautifully – it was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside.
We ate most of the meals and called it night…and I was seriously ill all night. I wasn’t that sick since I was a kid…it was bad. We thought it was food, but looking back, it was definitely an air fryer.
We thought it was just a bad night so I used it again after a few weeks and everything was fine. I probably used it hundreds of times after that.
(Resting in power)
Every time I took it out, the nonstick coating was probably the least healthy, but as someone who had to get food right away on the table (like all moms), I thought what it was. When I went on a big health trip, I made more changes around the house, and getting a new air fryer was one of the last things on my list.
Best Non-toxic Air Fryer
I saw the options online and here are some of the best I’ve found:
Emeril Lagasse Special Large French Door Air Fryer Toaster Oven Combo
This is huge, has stainless steel finish and excellent reviews.
This glass air fryer
This is small in size However, there is a good review and a classic “air fryer” design with a large single handle.
Our place is Wonder Oven
This one It’s the most beautiful and has decent reviews. I’ve heard that it’s difficult to turn it off and adjust the temperature. It’s also a bit on the small side.
Goomier XL Digital Air Fryer Toaster Oven Single Pull French Door
This is what we used as the pilot won the fighter group’s Christmas party. (PS These prizes are ridiculous: Traeger Grills, PlayStation, Kindle, iPads, Bluetooth speakers, lots of good stuff.)
Verdict: I’m obsessed with this. It was much larger than our old air fryer and cooked everything to perfection, including salmon, chicken, potatoes, roasted vegetables.
Why should I avoid traditional nonstick coatings?
Non-stick cooking utensils often coated with chemicals such as perfluoroalkyl and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAs) can pose serious health risks, particularly due to hormonal balance. These “eternal chemicals” can leach into food, especially when cookware is scratched or exposed to high heat.
Research links PFA exposure to endocrine disruption, This means that it can interfere with hormone regulation, potentially affect thyroid function, metabolism, and reproductive health, and even increase the risk of certain cancers. These chemicals also accumulate in the body over time, and it is important to choose safer alternatives such as stainless steel, cast iron, and ceramic coated cooking utensils to protect your health and hormonal balance.
So, please tell me, friend: do you use an air fryer? What is your most beloved kitchen appliance?
If you’re looking for cookware, I love it Our Place and Caraway.
