The Armed Cancel U.S. Tour Due To Financial Issues

(Celebrity Access) — ArmedThe Detroit-based hardcore punk band announced they were canceling their upcoming tour with ho9909 due to financial difficulties.

“This is incredibly tough, but several cancellations outside of our control (weather, health, etc.) combined with a personal emergency forced us to make a costly and drastic pivot over the summer. This led to a financial situation we had hoped to weather behind the scenes over the past few months. However, as the tour moved into pre-production and required resources we simply do not have, we had to face the fact that our current situation is simply unsustainable. At this time we are unable to bring you shows,” the band shared on Instagram on Wednesday.

“While this sucks, please understand that for a band like ours, this is basic operating procedure and a common stress behind the scenes. Indie band finances overall are very precarious and often dealt with collectively, and one mistake (or in this case several) has repercussions down the line. We’re not asking for any special sympathy and apologize for any inconvenience caused. Countless peers are in very similar situations all the time, and often deal with it quietly with a lot of effort and wisdom. This is just an unfortunate thing that just went a little too far,” the statement continued.

The tour was scheduled to begin on September 17th at The Axis in Toronto and conclude on October 14th at the House of Blues in San Diego.

Ticket holders will be contacted by the promoters about refunds, according to the statement.

The Armed have several festival appearances scheduled this year, including Chicago’s Riotfest in September and DWP’s Louder Than Life and Aftershock.
