If it’s been going on at Steelers Depot for many years, Pro Day Tracking is one of the offseason staples to explore social media clips and photos for Pittsburgh Steelers scouts and front office staff. This year, Casey Weidl kicked things off by appearing on Indiana Pro Day. Indiana Football x.
This is a convenient early stop, as most scouts were the 2025 NFL Scouting Combine last week.
Weidl, a brother to GM Andy Weidl assistant, is listed as the scouting coordinator for the Steelers website. He was on Indiana Pro Day last year too.
The two players from Indiana Pro Day were also at the combine: DT CJ West and QB Kurtis Rourke. The outstanding OL Tray Wedy from Tosai Shrine Bowl is also present.
This quarterback class isn’t considered great by many, but Rourke is flying under the radar as a solid mid-round option. At 220 pounds in 6042, he is one of the higher QBs in this class.
In his six college seasons with his first five at Ohio University, Rourke recorded 860 completions for 10,693 yards, 79 TDs and 21 INTs. He won the Heisman vote in 2024 for a strong year in Indiana.
West spent five years at university and his first four years in Kent. He totaled 150 tackles, 68 solo tackles, nine sacks, two passes for defense and two forced fumbles. He measured at 316 pounds on the 6011, paired with 31 1/2 inch arms, and ran a 40-yard dash in 4.95 seconds.
Josh Carney interviewed West at the shrine bowl.
The Wedig was not a combination, but measured at 6065, 310 lbs with 32 3/4 inch arms. He spent four seasons in Wisconsin before transferring to Indiana in 2024.
