A Reddit user posted screenshots of his Spotify searches overnight, and the results were surprising. A porn video was hidden in the recommendation results for rapper MIA. Link to NSFW thread. The video shown in the screenshot was not displayed, but[ビデオ]After scrolling through many results on the tab, I found more videos.
One of the accounts that posted the videos we saw had been publishing erotic audio for years, but has recently been sprinkling in sexually graphic videos. Another account, named after a long string of alphanumeric characters, has been publishing explicit videos with similarly nonsensical titles as a podcast account since mid-November.
Spotify representative Laura Batey said: The Verge The example we provided was “removed for violating our policies,” we said in an email. Those policies include: Prohibit sexually explicit content. We asked Spotify for more details on how the videos passed the review process. If there is an answer it will be updated here.
The videos we found appear to be unmoderated podcast uploads and are not very convenient to report. The Spotify app doesn’t have a button for that. Instead, users can copy the content URL and Web page for reports Possible violation.
