The Select 4 Go pairs 1.75-inch 5W full-range speaker drivers with passive radiators for enhanced low-frequency intensity, which is only slightly smaller than the speakers found in more expensive models. Mini RollBattery life is claimed to be 12 hours. Soundcore says The Select 4 Go provides up to 20 hours of playback on a full charge when using standard EQ mode with the volume set to 40 percent.
The speaker has an IPX67 waterproof rating, meaning it will float in a pool, although Soundcore warns to make sure the waterproof cover over the USB-C charging port is securely in place before using the speaker near water.
The Bluetooth range is rated at 30 meters, and two Select 4 Go speakers can be paired together to produce stereo sound. Soundcore Mini 3you can pair over 100 speakers and play them all at the same time in sync. If this is an important feature to you, you’ll need to spend a bit more.
We haven’t tested this speaker, so we can’t vouch for its sound quality, but for $24.99, it’s a durable wireless speaker that at least sounds better than playing music through your smartphone’s speaker, so it’s well worth the money.
The Soundcore Select 4 Go is currently available in two-tone black or blue, but will eventually be available in six other colors, including purple and green.
