Especially the foul call in the final stages and the disappointing loss that Giannis decided at the end. Given the injury situation of the guard, I couldn’t have expected much more from a competitive standpoint. They wasted big offensive games from Prince, Bobby and Andre and late plays from the Pats. – 5:42pm

I’m not sure I’ve ever heard the home crowd get so excited for a road player in a close game.

“Charles Lee was forced to call a timeout after B2B Andre Jackson made a three,” which I didn’t expect the Bucks to end up getting a dead ball and subbing Giannis. I didn’t…but I accept! Shoot the ball, young people – 5:04 p.m.

Rod Boone: I spoke with crew chief Curtis Blair. He later said they reviewed the play and the foul should not have been called against Giannis Antetokounmpo. “During live play, we called illegal leg-to-leg contact. We reviewed the play during postgame review and there was no illegal contact on the play.” – via Twitter @rodboone / November 17, 2024

The Bucks lost 115-114 to the Charlotte Hornets after a controversial foul call on Giannis Antetokounmpo sent Hornets star LaMelo Ball to the free throw line with 7.3 seconds left. Ball appeared to trip during the drive, but Antetokounmpo was whistled for impeding Ball’s forward movement. Ball sank the game-winning free throw to give Charlotte the lead, and Antetokounmpo’s missed mid-range jumper on the Bucks’ final possession ultimately dropped the Bucks to 4-9 on the season. “Obviously there was no foul,” Bucks coach Doc Rivers said. “If you watch the video, the referee was blocked out by one of our players. You can’t guess the end of the game. Both teams played too hard. ” -via new york times / November 16, 2024
