Rescue flights to Israel expand beyond Europe

4 Min Read

Yesterday, Israeli rescue operations began yesterday, and by the end of the first day, four Israeli Airlines flights had landed in Israel, carrying around 5,000 passengers from European destinations.

El Al announced that two rescue flights from New York and one rescue flights from Bangkok will depart for Israel tonight. Passengers assigned to these flights will be notified.

“To the extent that we receive approval from the state next week and from the state, El Al is preparing to operate rescue flights from major destinations with many El Al passengers, and there is high connectivity from many destinations.”

$360 from Larnaca to Haifa

Air Haifa has announced the opening of ticket sales for flights from Larnaca to Haifa from Monday, June 23rd to Thursday, June 26th. Daily flights run along with tickets on the airline’s website at a flat fare of $360.

In doing so, you will become the first airline to allow external customers to purchase return flight tickets. Until now, Israeli airlines have prioritized passengers, and have not allowed to board their first rescue flights according to the date of their original cancelled flight and purchase tickets for the rescue flight.

“Due to high demand, the website’s servers are extremely loaded and we apologise in advance for latency. Our support team is working to improve the availability of the service and improve the availability of the service.

Leave Israel: with approval from the Exceptions Committee

Israel’s airspace has resumed and air traffic has returned to a limited extent, but the airline has not yet allowed to purchase tickets for outbound flights. Industry sources say this is the desire to minimize the amount of time that planes spend on the ground at Ben Gurion Airport. When the plane lands in Israel, passengers will get off and take off immediately for their next rescue destination.

The longer the plane gets on the ground, the higher the risk of the airport becoming a target. Additionally, the boarding process is longer and more complicated than disembarking, putting passengers and planes at unnecessary risk.

Starting tomorrow, departures from Israel will be permitted on individual flights subject to approval by the exceptions committee appointed by the Ministry of Transport. The committee is designed to examine requests from citizens, tourists and diplomats in emergencies. Security considerations allow limited number of seats on flights departing, and takeoffs will occur only at partial occupancy to reduce the time the plane will spend on the ground. Anyone who wants to leave Israel must submit a form to justify the demands that will be considered individually by the committee.
