Reimagining Health Summit Recap and What I Learned

I will share a complete summary of my experience at the Reimaging Health Summit and what I learned. Hello friends! How is it going? How was your weekend? Ours was good, but crazy. It was the pilot change of command ceremony (after three years in command), the school auction, and the NCL Tea and Fashion Show. It was a lot of fun, but my social battery needs a recharge. I spend most of the day working in my pajamas and plan to go on a short hike later. The weather was dreamy.

Now that I’m home from my trip and have had a chance to process everything, I can finally share a complete summary of the Rethinking Health Summit. It was my first time participating, and it far exceeded my expectations. I also had time to spend with business and health friends. Gisele!

Rethinking the Health Summit and what we learned

The Reimaging Health Summit is a conference focused on healthy living and longevity and is hosted by: equilife and Integrative Medicine Practitioner Institute. EquiLife products, Functional Labs, and this company have absolutely changed my life in the best way possible. Becoming certified as an IHP has been one of the best things I have done for the health of my business, myself, my clients, and my family. our family. I learned so much and was able to connect with the amazing IHP community while supporting a company I respect and admire.

The conference spans three days and was held this year in Orlando, Florida.

What I learned:

I took a lot of notes during the conference, so I could probably split it into multiple blog posts (lol), but here are some of the main takeaways.

– How energy is linked to mitochondrial function and longevity factors. Without energy there is nothing.

~ How to use methylene blue ~ I wanted to try it!

– About hydrogen water and how it increases hydration by 6-10 times. I tried it at the top and loved it. I’d like to have a string machine.

– Stop after 2-3 repetitions before your muscles fatigue. You’ll get the same results without having to suffer as much to maintain consistency.

For lights:

– 1/3 of energy comes from food and 2/3 from light. Blue light at night can affect insulin sensitivity and make you crave more sugar and carbohydrates

– Morning sun 20 minutes to cloudy 30 minutes

– Step outside 2 hours after sunrise to expose yourself to UVA light – Allows for the production of serotonin and dopamine

– Wear vivarays to blend lenses during the day

– Look at the sunset – light is information

– Turn off overhead lights at night. Use candles or salt lamps

– Wear evening glasses after sunset

– Switch to red sleep lenses 1 hour before bedtime

– Eyes are rich in mitochondria

– Take off your glasses so you can see the book (I downloaded this!)

About dental health:

– The mouth is the intestine – the entrance to the body and the beginning of the digestive tract

– Ask clients questions about fillings, root canals, periodontal disease, and periodontal disease.

– Microbiome and its impact on general health

How oral inflammation contributes to chronic disease

– heart disease

– Rheumatoid arthritis and other autoimmune diseases

– diabetes

– Respiratory diseases

– Infertility and pregnancy complications

We give our babies the bacteria in our mouths. Focus on nutrition, anti-inflammatory foods, foods to avoid, sugar, and processed foods

Sleep and oral health – airway. How do they sleep and breathe at night?

Posture and Oral Health – Posture affects your jaw and bite, temporomandibular joint disorders, headaches, and neck pain related to oral health.

Toxins: How toxins affect oral health, reducing exposure to mycotoxins, heavy metals, and toxins. Mold affects nutrient absorption

Hormonal changes in oral health – gum inflammation, low progesterone can affect collagen

Brush your teeth and scrape your tongue in the morning or 30 minutes after breakfast

Expo:

Although the exhibition at RHS was quite small (especially compared to the huge event that is the Biohacking Conference), the quality was high. There were many of my favorite products and companies, including EquiLife products that lasted for days, Therasage, Air Doctor, AquaTru, Kangen, and Vivarays.

There was also space for an IV, so Gisele and I got a Myers Cocktail IV with glutathione (my go-to, especially if I’m going to a meeting, travel a lot, or feel like I’m fighting something) combination).

VIP/Speaker/Challenge Winner Dinner:

During the conference, we also had the opportunity to attend a VIP dinner as challenge winners. This was a small private event attended by EquiLife faculty, conference speakers, and fellow challenge winners. They truly went above and beyond with this dinner, including a sumptuous and healthy four-course meal, open bar, presentation, and recognition.

Amazing Pro: Food!!

One thing that really surprised me about RHS was the food. I knew EquiLife and Dr. Cabral put a lot of care and consideration into the food they provided, and it was obvious. The food was still festive and fun, yet nutritious and not at all greasy.

Cockatiel time had multiple types of sushi and mini poke bowls of sushi one night, and the second night was a huge chalcouterie spread, hummus and veggies. Lunch was rich in protein (salmon and chicken), plenty of vegetables, seasoned potatoes, soup, and gluten-free and vegan dessert options.

During cocktail hour, bars were set up around the venue, offering signature mocktails daily.

The menu was very thoughtful and it was one of the few times I attended a conference and was able to eat the food I love and feel much better.

We went straight from the summit to the cruise, so we had two packs for two consecutive trips. I put all my Orlando stuff in one suitcase and my cruise stuff in another suitcase. It worked!

Meet Dr. Cabral in person:

One of the highlights of the trip was actually meeting Dr. Cabral. It’s funny, he was a guest on my podcast a few years ago and I didn’t know much about him at the time. (I did some very basic research before the episode and thought it would make for a good conversation, even though it was mostly preparatory.) As soon as the episode ends, I want to learn as much as possible from him. I thought. He is genuine and genuinely wants to help as many people as possible. I am grateful that he has been my mentor over the past few years and was so happy to finally meet him in person.

I also got to meet so many of my IHP colleagues (fellow board members and friends from CPC). equilife Mentor, personally. It’s an environment where everyone helps each other grow. It’s very exciting and exhilarating. I can’t wait to see what EquiLife continues to do in the coming years.

You don’t have to be an Integrative Health Practitioner to participate, but I would say this is the best certification I’ve had (I’ve completed Level 1, Level 2, and am currently completing my HPH).
