He is scheduled to take office on the day. We respectfully ask the court to vacate the remainder of the pretrial schedule to allow the government time to evaluate this unprecedented situation. We will assess the situation and determine the appropriate course of action in accordance with Department of Justice policy. By December 2, 2024, the government intends to file a status report or otherwise notify the court of the outcome of its deliberations.
