(Celebrity Access) — After cancelling a string of European shows in July, Queens of the Stone Age have announced that the band is cancelling all remaining dates in 2024 so that founder Josh Homme can focus on his health.
“QOTSA is sad to cancel or postpone all remaining 2024 shows. Josh has had no choice but to prioritize his health and receive necessary medical care for the remainder of the year,” the band said in a statement Friday.
The statement added, “Josh and the QOTSA family are so grateful for all of your support and the time we’ve spent together over the past year, and we hope to see you all again in 2025.”
Affected shows include:
9/27 – MGM Music Hall – Boston, MA
9/29 – Southside Music Festival – Bridgeport, CT
10/1 – Andrew J. Brady Music Center – Cincinnati, OH
10/2 – Huntington Bank Pavilion @ Northerly Aisle – Chicago
10/4 – Brees Stevens Field – Madison, WI
10/6 – Memph Music Festival – Memphis, TN
11/17 – Corona Capital Festival – Mexico City
The band has not gone into detail about the health issues Homme is facing, but he revealed in 2022 that he was battling an unspecified type of cancer.
In July 2024, QOTSA postponed their European tour and Homme returned to the United States to undergo emergency surgery.
