People across the country on Saturday are supposed to oppose and support both President Trump’s immigration policy and the broader agenda.
Demonstrations across the country were flaring this week, including Seattle, Chicago, Los Angeles, and New York. The protests in Los Angeles have been ongoing throughout the week in response to an administration that is stepping up the city’s immigration enforcement.
The protests were generally peaceful, but some protesters clashed with law enforcement, burning cars and crashing with buildings that they had destroyed in graffiti. Police have arrested dozens of people across the country.
On Saturday, various groups organized protests against President Trump’s agenda as part of what they are calling.There’s no king“mobilization.
The US Army also hosted a military parade in Washington, D.C. on Saturday, marks President Trump’s 79th birthday to celebrate his 250th anniversary.
“We celebrate an epic military parade in Washington, DC, as no other,” Trump said in a video posted. Instagram earlier this month.
The incident sparks the president’s desire for Governor Newsom and Mayor La’s Bus, sending Marines to Los Angeles. The first group of 700 Marines arrived Friday.
Marines are expected to protect federal buildings, including Wilshire federal buildings and interior buildings. Among other crowd-controlled gear, they are equipped with shields and batons, but not arrested.
Governor Greg, Texas Abbott ordered the National Guard To San Antonio and Austin ahead of the expected protest. And in Missouri, Gov. Mike Kehoe has revitalized the state’s National Guard as a “precautionary measure.”
“We respect and defend our right to protest peacefully, but we do not tolerate violence or lawlessness in our state,” Kehoe said. statement Earlier this week. “Other states may wait for the chaos to continue, but Missouri is taking a proactive approach when it needs help to support local law enforcement agencies to protect its citizens and communities.”
