When photos of Duchess Kate sunbathing topless were leaked in 2011, Donald Trump felt the need to comment on the situation. And his comments infuriated Prince William.
And they still do.
The first incident occurred while the royal couple was vacationing in Provence.
Some aggressive paparazzi used long-range cameras to take photos of Kate from a distance.

It was a shocking invasion of her privacy and an upsetting invitation to royal life.
However, with his bizarre take on the situation, Donald Trump shamed Duchess Kate for allowing it to happen and sparked the ire of Prince William.
President Trump tweeted at the time: “The Duchess of Cambridge is amazing. But she shouldn’t be sunbathing naked. She only has herself to blame.”
“If Kate sunbathes naked, who wouldn’t take a picture of her and make a lot of money? Come on, Kate!”
The comments came at a very precarious time for Will and Kate.
And royal biographer Robert Jobson said the couple was furious at Trump’s decision to side with the tabloids.
“William was reportedly furious when Donald Trump tweeted,” Jobson writes in his new book about Kate (via independent person).
“The Duchess felt ‘violated’ by this whole incident,” the journalist continued.
This won’t be the last time Trump will comment on royal issues.
Of course, recent presidential candidates have been full of criticism of Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan. And it’s probably much more to Will and Kate’s tastes.

Elsewhere in the book, Jobson writes about Kate’s anger over details revealed in Prince Harry’s controversial memoir.
According to the author, Kate was particularly enraged by a passage in which Prince Harry claimed to have been at odds with Meghan over comments she made about her behavior during her pregnancy.
“Catherine, according to Harry’s memoirs spareconfronted Meghan about her “baby brain” comment and said, “You talked about my hormones.” “We are not close enough to talk about my hormones,” he wrote.
“Prince Harry said Meghan was surprised and said it was the way he spoke to his girlfriend,” Jobson continued.
“Prince William cut in, apparently pointing at Meghan and calling her ‘rude’. Meghan stood up to him and said, ‘Please take your finger out of my face.’ .”
Not interested in a truce
There had been hopes that Duchess Kate’s battle with cancer could help foster reconciliation between the two warring factions of the royal family.
Needless to say, that hasn’t happened.
Duchess Kate has now completed chemotherapy and has recently resumed royal duties. However, Harry and Kate are far from reconciled.
As for Donald Trump, he is still aiming to take back the White House. If he wants to improve his chances of winning, he should probably stop defending Diddy any more.
