Senate Democrats on Tuesday called on Homeland Security Secretary Christie Noem to testify at a Capitol Hill hearing about the forced removal of California Sen. Alex Padilla from a press conference she was holding last week.

The Secretary of Homeland Security stated that the purpose of federal law enforcement and the purpose of the US military was to “release Los Angeles from the governor and mayor. Before I asked my questions, I served as a secretary and my escort and took me to that secret briefing room, even if I had repeatedly made an announcement.
