Defense Minister Rajnath Singh is scheduled to visit the Jammu Air Base and Forward area of Poonch, Jammu and Kashmir (J&K) on Thursday, May 15th.
According to an official statement, the visit of union ministers is important to boost morale for frontline forces and consider operational preparation for sensitive areas.
During the visit, Singh is expected to interact with soldiers who played a key role in this successful counter infiltration operation along the control line.
This development comes when both India and Pakistan agreed to a ceasefire to Pakistan’s demands after the attacks of Pakistan after targeting civilians and military facilities a few days after the attacks by Pakistan, including drones and missile strikes on Indian soils.
Meanwhile, the Indian retaliation operation called Operation Sindoah was linked to the April 22nd terrorist attack in Pahargam by J&K, killing 26 tourists.
