NECA had this to say about the Scary Kid: “Own a life-size replica doll of the breakout character from the 2024 film. Featuring five points of articulation, the doll features posable eyes, synthetic hair, movie-accurate embellishments, a weighted body and tailored clothing. A highlight of any Beetlejuice collection, this doll will be a great addition to your family. Doll measures 14 inches sitting and 19 inches lying down. Comes in collector-friendly window box packaging.

In an interview with Adriano Contreras for io9 and Gizmodo Beetlejuice Beetlejuice At the press conference, one of the film’s (human) stars, Justin Theroux, had high praise for Baby Beetlejuice. “It was my favorite prop in the whole movie. It’s an incredible piece of machinery and art. It’s a sculpture, a character in itself. It’s so funny,” he said. “I have so many amazing videos of Baby Beetlejuice on my phone. It’s like a puppet. So many people can control it, move its head, look up, look down, blink, change its expression, get shocked, go berserk. And of course it has wires coming out of its back for the puppeteer to control. All in all, it was an incredible prop.”

NECA’s version isn’t as expressive as the big screen doll version, but it’s still a great recreation. NECA says the dolls are scheduled to ship “late September,” meaning you’ll likely get them just in time for your accessories. Ghost House –Lydia Deetz’s Halloween costume from the era.
