Auto stocks take center stage
All eyes will be on automaker stocks after companies like Maruti Suzuki India, Tata Motors and Bajaj Auto report their October sales numbers.
- Maruti Suzuki beat analysts’ expectations, with total solar power sales increasing 3.6% to 206,000 units. Analysts at Zee Business had estimated the company’s monthly sales at 193,000 units.
- M&M also performed well on the sales front, selling a record number of SUVs.
- Tata Motors reported sales of 48,131 solar power units in the domestic market, almost unchanged from 48,337 units in October last year.

The company’s financial results for the July-September period were mixed.
Net profit fell 12.4% and margins contracted 160 bps, according to regulatory filings.
