Right tackle Evan Neal made his first start since Nov. 5 last season as an offensive player for the New York Giants in a 20-17 loss to the Carolina Panthers on Sunday in Munich, Germany. , becoming the highest-rated offensive player.

Neal was slotted in at right tackle this week after Jermaine Elemunor was moved to the left side as the Giants continue to search for the right mix following Andrew Thomas’ season-ending injury.
Neal played all 75 offensive snaps Sunday and performed well in all phases of the game.

“It felt good to get back out there and play after a year,” Neal said. via New York Post. “I’m just grateful. Not every play was perfect. I didn’t have a perfect game. I’m sure there will be things to go back and review the tape and make corrections. But it’s my first trip. I think it was a solid trip overall.”
El Emnor made it clear that he was not in favor of a move, wanting to remain at right tackle, but the team was reluctant to place Neal on the left side. So it was El Emnor who had to take action.
“It’s hard to change positions like that. It’s not the most comfortable thing to do,” Elemnor told the Post. “When I tell people it’s like writing with my right hand for a long time, out of nowhere they say I have to write an essay with my left hand, the deadline is Saturday, and it takes me three days to learn how to do it amazingly. “I am told to write with my left hand.” ”
In the end, El Emnor struggled mightily at left tackle for the first time this season, allowing seven pressures, four tackles, two QB hits, and one sack, but that was probably to be expected. Dew.
Elemnor most recently played left tackle for his former team, the Las Vegas Raiders. He played 125 snaps there last year and 66 snaps in 2022.
