In today’s post, I want to share a roundup of my favorite wellness products for 2024. These are perfect as you finish out December, start setting your health and New Year’s goals, and use up your FSA or HSA credits before they expire. We’d also love to hear about your favorite health/wellness products that you use.
I don’t use an FSA or HSA, but I know a lot of people do, so if you have any helpful tips, please share them in the comments.

lumens This is a really great tool for assessing metabolic flexibility and how efficiently your body burns carbohydrates and fat. When you blow into the lumen, the CO2 level in your exhaled air helps determine the lumen’s respiratory exchange ratio (RER). Rate this on a scale of 1 to 5 (1 to 5, where 1 is mostly fat and 5 is mostly carbohydrates). This number is based on whether you are primarily burning carbohydrates or fat at that moment. Lumen suggests macro splits for the day depending on your RER, that day’s workout (you can enter your daily workouts into the app), your sleep, and the previous day’s data. I jumped on the Oura Railway train many years ago and instantly fell in love with data and sleep trackers. I’ve been on hiatus for the past year and a half due to medical treatment, but I wanted to get back into it. I use a walking pad every day. I ordered a cheap one from Amazon and was impressed with the quality. It will do what it needs to do! It’s a great way to take steps during conference calls or studying IHP material.
