Music Legend Passes Away at 73

Sad news arrived from the music world today. Beloved entertainer Wayne Osmond has passed away.

Wayne, of course, was a member of the Osmonds, an iconic family band that had a string of hits in the 1970s.

News of his death was revealed in a statement released by his family earlier this week.

The Osmond family announces the death of Wayne Osmond

“Wayne Osmond, a beloved husband and father, passed away peacefully last night surrounded by his loving wife and five children,” his family said in a statement obtained by local authorities. ABC Belongs to KTVX.

“His legacy of faith, music, love and laughter has touched the lives of many people around the world. , and we want everyone to know that banana splits are the best dessert ever. We love him and will miss him dearly,” the Osmonds added.

Wayne was one of eight children, and several brothers and sisters have paid tribute to him following his death.

“My heart is deeply saddened by the loss of my brother Wayne. It is said that where there is great love, there is great sorrow at separation during the earth’s journey.” Jay Osmond wrote. facebook.

“What gives me joy is knowing that my brother ‘Wings’ has earned his wings. I can only imagine how high he is soaring right now.”

Although Wayne was successfully treated for a brain tumor in 1997, it appears that it was not the ultimate cause of his death.

Wayne suffered a “massive stroke” this week, according to his brother Meryl Osmond. He was taken to the hospital, where he died shortly after.

“My brother was a saint before he was born, and he will leave this world an even greater saint than when he came.” Merrill wrote in his Facebook post. “His departure will be a sad moment for some, but for those waiting for him on the other side of the world, it will be a celebration beyond our wildest imagination. Dew.”

Our thoughts go out to the entire Osmond family at this very difficult time. Wayne will be greatly missed by many.
