I had just visited Graceland for my third time, and while the group ahead of us was waiting in line on the mansion’s grounds for a tour through the iconic front entrance, I looked down and a thought occurred to me.
The main front lawn is dotted with giant oak trees that have been here since Elvis lived here. He drove around the trees in his cart and had his picture taken under them with Priscilla and Lisa Marie. The trees are huge.
However, we have also seen cases where small seedlings have sprouted in yards and on lawns, only for lawn care companies to cut them down before they have a chance to grow.
Would anyone buy an oak sapling from Graceland?
We suspect many fans will do just that, and these little trees with history could be packaged with a certificate of authenticity and sold at the Elvis Experience shop across the road or by mail order.
Of course, if you’re not from the US (like me), you can’t take one home with you, but there are a lot of Elvis Presley enthusiasts in the US who would love it, and you could even keep one as a bonsai tree indoors.
Well, this is Riley’s idea to help pay off her mom’s debt 😉
We’ve also uploaded plenty of photos of the interior of Graceland Mansion, the grounds, the exterior buildings, and the Elvis Experience so you can have a good look around.
