According to the MSI presentation slides Publisher hardware lux today (via video card), the new chip could feature considerable multi-core performance across generations, with the 8-core 9000X3D outperforming the Ryzen 7 7900X3D by up to 28% in Cinebench R23. And compared to the standard Ryzen 9000 series, MSI found that X3D’s performance was virtually identical. However, MSI says “performance is expected to improve in PR samples and retail chips.”
It is unknown whether hardware lux Did it break the embargo or is MSI to blame for the leak? Oddly enough, that section of the presentation seemed to be primarily about Intel’s new Core Ultra 200S chip, but why not an unannounced AMD chip? It is unclear whether this is included in that section. The presentation indicates that MSI has been banned from discussing Intel chips until October 10th.
