The Los Angeles Lakers tried to trade for young Detroit Pistons center Jay Len Duren before shifting their focus to Charlotte Hornets big man Mark Williams before the February 6 deadline. However, Detroit refused to let go of Duren, who remains a vital part of their future. “Detroit didn’t want to give up on him.
