Joker 2’s Surprise Actor Defends Its Divisive, Shocking Ending

It’s only been a whole week since then. Joker: Folie à deux ‘ has been released in theaters, and the reactions and reviews could not have been more polarizing. People who have seen this movie (or read the synopsis online) have a lot of thoughts on various parts of the movie, mainly the ending. Director Todd Phillips and star Joaquin Phoenix have already talked about the film (and how they came up with it), so now the film’s secret key person shares his thoughts on the matter. It’s time to do it.

After being completely rejected by Lee (Lady Gaga) and sent back to Arkham Asylum, Arthur (Joaquin Phoenix) is approached by a fellow prisoner played by Conor Storey who has been secretly watching him throughout the movie. The prisoner stabs Arthur for a joke and then carves that classic Glaswegian smile on his own face. And just like that, he took on the Joker’s mantle.

talk to TMZStory said he’s not too surprised that this ending made fans feel some way. Like many people, he admits he was shocked by the news that it would be turned into a musical. joker It was. But as far as he’s concerned, polarizing opinions are inevitable, and in some ways justified. “I think it’s better for things to be polarized than for things to be boring or pretty,” he said. “You don’t take such a big swing without knowing that it gives people a chance to live up to their choices.”

Storey praised Phillips, saying he “has the ball to make such bold swings,” but said he had never thought about it. Folie à deux As a birth secret.
