Jennifer Lopez And Ben Affleck Were ‘Cordial’ At Back-To-School Night

The pair were recently spotted together on a night out celebrating their children’s back-to-school days, demonstrating their determination to maintain the bond of their blended family despite being apart.

Last weekend, they were spotted enjoying brunch with their kids at a Beverly Hills hotel.

Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck have also yet to publicly address the reasons for their divorce or how far along the divorce process is.

Lopez and Affleck say their divorce won’t stop them from being great parents to their children.

A divorcing couple showed unity for their children at a back-to-school night get-together.

Lopez and Affleck were dressed casually at the event, and their kids were equally casually dressed and appeared to be spending quality time with their parents.

Lopez, 55, is mother to 16-year-old twins Emme and Max with ex-husband Marc Anthony, while Affleck, 52, has three children — Violet, 18, Seraphina, 15, and Samuel, 12 — from his previous marriage to Jennifer Garner.

The source also clarified that the sighting was not a sign of a reconciliation, stressing that the pair are still focused on finalizing their divorce, even though they care deeply about each other.

This isn’t the first time Lopez and Affleck have been seen in public with their children since the “Atlas” star ended their marriage.

Last Saturday, they all stepped out for brunch at the Beverly Hills Hotel in Beverly Hills, Calif.

Lopez paired the outing with a long-sleeved black crop top and dark-wash flared jeans that covered her shoes, while Affleck opted for a blue button-down shirt, jeans, and Nike sneakers. The pair also accessorized their looks with pricey sunglasses.

To the surprise of many, the couple was openly affectionate during their outing, but made sure their children didn’t see.

“Ben and Jennifer Lopez are currently holding hands and kissing in the Polo Lounge at the Beverly Hills Hotel. Their kids are together but sitting at separate tables,” a source said at the time. Page 6.

The shocking display of affection was reportedly “unplanned” and due to the fact that the pair “have always had good sexual chemistry” and “are still attracted to each other”.

Aside from making appearances for their children, the pair appear to have distanced themselves from each other’s public lives, as evidenced by their recent decision not to celebrate each other’s birthdays.

Affleck also opted to skip the Unstoppable premiere, leaving only Lopez in attendance, despite them both having a stake in the project.

The couple are still negotiating the finalization of their divorce, opting to divide their assets through mediation rather than fighting it out in court.

This mediation is necessary because Affleck and Lopez did not have a prenuptial agreement when they got married, and to assist with the process, they have enlisted the help of high-powered divorce attorney Laura Wasser, who has previously worked with Kim Kardashian and Kevin Costner.

Even before news of their divorce became public, Lopez and Affleck had attempted to expedite the process by putting their $68 million Beverly Hills mansion on the market.

In the midst of divorce proceedings, Jennifer Lopez’s ex-husband recently shared a bit of advice on what he thinks his ex-wife should do once the divorce is over.

Amid her split from Affleck, Lopez was roped in to star alongside Ted Lasso actor Brett Goldstein in the new Netflix romantic comedy Office Romance.

According to The Hollywood ReporterHowever, concrete work on the project has not yet begun as the person in charge has yet to be appointed.

Goldstein is reportedly writing a script with Joe Kelly, but the film’s plot is still unknown.

Lopez has carved out a unique place for herself in the romantic comedy genre since appearing in hit films like The Wedding Planner and Maid in Manhattan.

The film follows his appearance in Brad Peyton’s Netflix sci-fi film Atlas opposite Simu Liu and Sterling K. Brown, and in 2023 he will appear in Niki Caro’s action film The Mother.

Lopez also recently attended the premiere of her latest film, “Unstoppable,” at the Toronto International Film Festival.
