Microsoft Copilot is one of the easiest AI tools to use on Microsoft Windows. Accessible from your desktop or web browser.
If your operating system of choice is MacOS, there are several options within the App Store, e.g. next bot). However, if you are using Linux, you will find that Microsoft has not yet released an official Copilot app that you can install on your distribution of choice.

Don’t worry, there is a way to install Copilot on your desktop. Let me introduce two such methods.
How to use Copilot AI on Linux
Option 1: Use the Copilot extension for Chrome
This option requires: All you need for this method is a Chromium-based web browser and a valid Microsoft account.
The first thing to do is open your Chromium-based web browser and point it to the following unofficial Copilot extension: Chrome Web Store.

On the extension page,[Chrome に追加](or Opera, or your Chromium-based browser). Allow installation of extensions.

on the toolbar if your browser allows it.[拡張機能]Click the icon and then click the Copilot extension pin icon from the dropdown. This allows you to easily access the Copilot extension from your browser’s toolbar.

When the Copilot window opens, if you are not already logged in to your Microsoft account, please do so now.

Copilot should now have a small window open. You can then use AI services as needed. When finished, close the Copilot window.

Option 2: Use Copilot’s web app
The next option creates a Copilot web app that can be opened from the desktop menu. Again, you’ll need a Chromium-based browser and a valid Microsoft account.

Once Copilot has loaded, click the browser menu,[キャスト、保存、共有]>[ページをアプリとしてインストール]Click. Depending on the browser you are using, that menu entry may have a different name. I’m doing a demo on Chromium.

Click on the desktop menu and you should see an entry for Copilot. When you click on that entry, Copilot opens in a single minimal window without the usual browser toolbars or other features, so it looks like a native app on your desktop.
