Hello, my friend! how are you? I hope you’ve had a great morning so far! A lot is happening! I’ll report with all the fun I’ve had on my journey Share some stories on IG! I’ve had the best time recently.
Anyway, in today’s post I wanted to share a meal prep staple that I absolutely love, especially if I have a busy schedule and routine, The Mason Jar Salad. Seriously good!

One of my favorites about them is that they can be prepared a few days in advance. I dedicate this post to share some practical tips that will help you prepare delicious (and not waterlogged!) Mason Jars Salads.

How to layer mason jar salad
Step 1
The first step is to prepare all the ingredients. I like mixes of fresh greens (rotate the types to get different nutrients and benefits), grilled vegetables, protein (chicken, tuna, tempe, lentils, remaining steak or salmon, hard boiled eggs, whatever I like), healthy starch (cooked rice, beans, quinoa, sweet potatoes, shields, etc.). Fruits, cheese, olives, pickled vegetables, etc.) Then you can simply add those ingredients at hand.
Step 2
Now you can start the layer! The key to a mason jar salad is to layer each ingredient, starting with the best moisture and the most dense options and ending with the greens. I first put the beans and top with pickled vegetables, grilled vegetables, protein, starch and greens. Anything that adds extra flavors or crunches (nuts/seeds, croutons, etc.) should be placed sideways in slightly reusable bags or containers to prevent water from getting into the mix.
Step 3
Place your dressing next to you. You can use your homemade dressing or the option to buy from your favorite store. I like the Primal Kitchen I order Prosperity Market. Here are some tips for salad dressing:
How to eat a mason jar salad
If you’re at home, I like to add my mason jar salad to the bowl, top the dressing, then use a pizza cutter to cut it. From here you can enjoy adding additional seasonings and herbs on top!
If you are eating your salad on, make sure you have a wide mouth jar. Add the dressing and toppings to the jar, add the lid, shake, then remove the lid and eat!
Salad-sized mason jar
I usually use a 32oz jar and have a wide mouth for a nice, large salad. Also, I love using glass jars instead of plastic to prepare meals, so I don’t have to worry about plastic chemicals that come into contact with food while sitting. We also want to avoid having a lot of extra space in the jar as additional oxygen can ruin your food more quickly.
How long does the salad last in a mason jar?
Depending on the ingredients used, the Mason Jar salad can last up to 5 Fives. You can make sure that the salad remains fresh by making sure the salad greens are completely dry before adding them to the jar.

Mason jar salad dressing tips
Ah, a good salad is not complete without a proper dressing. Mason jar salad dressing is a very wonderful and practical way to prepare fresh and flavorful dressings in advance. Mason jars not only act as a way to shake and mix ingredients, but also make storage and pouring easy with minimal mess. Plus, the compact size makes it easy to create small batches that can be used throughout the week. Whether you’re making classic vinaigrettes or creamy dressing, these tips can help you make the most of your Mason jar dressing.
Layer the materials in the appropriate order.
When making dressing in a mason jar, start by adding thick ingredients such as mustard, honey, and garlic to the bottom. You can then layer oil, vinegar and seasonings on top. This allows you to rock the dressing and mix it.
Shake, shake, shake!
After adding all the ingredients together in the jar, seal it tightly and give it a good ol’ shake. The shaking ensures that the oil and vinegar (or other liquid) emulsifies and blends in with the smooth, delicious dressing. For best results, try shaking for at least 20-30 seconds!
Please sit before use.
Leave the salad dressing for about 10-15 minutes before using it to help the flavors gather together and develop a more balanced flavor. This break also helps inject solid ingredients such as herbs and garlic into the liquid.
Make any excess and store it later.
Friends, Friends: How often do you prepare meals? Do you like mason jar salad? If you’re a fan, share your favorite combos! I’m always looking for delicious new salads and dressings.
