Just days after linebacker Kayvon Thibodeau returned to action, the New York Giants placed fellow linebacker Azeez Ojulari on injured reserve (IR).
Ojulari played well in his increased role, but did not return after Sunday’s humiliating loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers due to a toe issue. He will be out for at least four weeks, but will likely play his final game with the Giants.
Ojulari’s toe injury is reportedly extremely painful, but…not major” and no surgery is required.
In response, the Giants acquired tight end Greg Dulcich on waivers from the Denver Broncos.
Darcic, 24, was a third-round pick by the Broncos in the 2022 NFL Draft. He has appeared in 16 career games (10 starts) and has 41 receptions for 464 yards and two touchdowns.
Before being waived earlier this week, Durcic appeared in four games (three starts) and had five receptions for 28 yards. His overall Pro Football Focus grade this season is just 38.4.
Finally, there are also expectations for the Giants. Signature linebacker Tomon Fox Return to practice squad. He has no promotion left this season.
