Giants coach Brian Daboll’s seat is getting hotter

3 Min Read

The New York Giants thought 2024 would be the season that would mark a turning point for sustained success.

Apparently not. The team has won just two of their first 10 games and is facing another tough start, with another tough schedule looming.

Of course, losing the game is alarming, but the way the team lost the game has fans and pundits wondering if this team is really heading in the right direction, which general manager Joe Schon believes. I’m wondering if there is.

Head coach Brian Daboll’s team has been pretty bland this season, lacking inspiration and discipline. FOX Sports veteran Giants and NFC East reporter Ralph Vacchiano made the list. Mr. Daboll could be a candidate on the unemployment line. After this recent Giants disappointment.

Daboll’s rise to this list is largely due to the firing of two coaches and his team’s 5-game losing streak, which included a 20-17 overtime loss to the Carolina Panthers in Germany. This is because we are having a bye week. He was hired because of his offensive mind, but their offense is so bad that they will probably need a quarterback change sooner or later. And right now, their fans are looking for Tank to get the No. 1 overall pick in the draft.

The Giants have four home games remaining and are already 0-5 against Meadowlands this season. Empty stadiums and angry crowds have a history of valuing this ownership and persuading them to do things they otherwise promised not to do.

Co-owner John Mara recently gave a vote of confidence to the front office and Daboll, saying there are no plans to fire anyone during or after the season.

But the reality is that the Giants are 17-26-1 under Shane and Coach Daboll. At times, the team looks as if there is no one to steer the ship, and their continued incompetence in nationally televised games has amplified the team’s internal problems.

Daboll is likely not going anywhere for now. Keep in mind, he’s the team’s fifth head coach since 2016, and Mara is taking a more patient approach with him.
