Elliot Page Since appearing as a transgender man in December 2020, he has stepped into a new chapter in his life, revealing his first public relationship.
The 38-year-old “Umbrella Academy” star confirmed that he is romantically involved with actress Julia Shipplett, known for her role in Amazon’s prime sitcom “Overcompensation.”
To celebrate Pride Month, Elliot went to Instagram to share a sweet moment with Julia and posted a photo of the couple hugging them on the rainbow street.
The image revealed that Elliott’s page, which includes a rainbow and a double heart emoji in the caption, is happy together.

Julia also took charge of social media for the relationship and shared Elliott’s loving video on her Instagram story.
In the video, Elliott is shirtless and roams through what appears to be a natural spring, and Julia writes “Happy Preday” on the footage.
Known as Ellen Page, Elliott was published as a lesbian before undergoing a gender transition and appeared as a gay on Valentine’s Day 2014.
In 2018, he married dancer and choreographer Emma Portner in 2020 when Elliott revealed his transgender identity.
However, in January 2021, Elliott and Emma announced their divorce, making it clear that they had been away from the summer of 2020.

The page opens about private dating life
Julia is Elliott’s first girlfriend who has been publicly linked since his transition, but the actor revealed in 2023 that he enjoyed his private dating life.
“This is the most fun I’ve ever dated. The interactions with people are much easier and more connected because they’re not lost on their own and can’t be seen in the right way,” Elliot shared Los Angeles Times.
Elliott’s pre-migration dating history included relationships with actresses Samantha Jones, Olivia Survey and Kate Mara. However, his current relationship with Julia marks a new chapter in his journey of self-discovery and happiness.

Elliot Page opposes transgender discrimination
When Elliot came out as a transgender person in 2020, he used his platform to oppose the discrimination that transgender people face.
“My joy is true, but it’s also fragile,” he wrote in a sincere social media post. “The truth is, despite feeling deeply happy right now and knowing how privileged I have, I’m scared too. I’m scared of invasion, hatred, ‘jokes’ and violence. ”
He also dealt with the difficulties of the trans community and “to all trans people who deal with the threat of harassment, self-loathing, abuse and violence every day.”

The page urges the public to educate themselves on LGBTQ+ and anti-trans politics
Elliott also actively raises awareness on LGBTQ+ issues, especially at a time when these topics are at the forefront of political and cultural debate.
In a recent interview “View,” Elliott used his platform to encourage people to educate themselves about anti-LGBTQ+ and anti-trans politics.
“The way I feel like I’m working now is much more embodied,” Elliot shared, reflecting on his career and his experiences discussing his role in “Umbrella Academy” and “Near You.”
“To do this kind of thing, before, it would have come close to impossible,” he pointed out, highlighting how far he has come since he left and how much his work has grown from a place of authenticity.

The fourth and final seasons of “The Umbrella Academy” will have a groundbreaking LGBTQ+ storyline that includes Elliot’s character transition.
In “Near You,” Elliot plays a tranceman named Sam, who returns home to a family reunion five years later, where he reconnects with the old flames. For Elliott, the role is “liberating” and he sees it as a turning point in his career.
And when host Anna Navarro asked, “What advice do you have for anyone who wants to be on the side of the community?” Elliott’s response was clear.
“The most important thing you can do is educate yourself and get involved,” he said. “The fight isn’t just for trans people. It’s for all of us.”
