Pack it! When Diane von Furstenberg gets dressed, she is guided by a simple mantra. The 77-year-old from Brussels, Belgium, told ET her tips for pulling off a chic look while celebrating the opening ceremony. “When designing my collections and curating my wardrobe, I have always followed the motto La Petit Valisse. Von Fürstenberg is also influenced by the brand’s wearers when creating her pieces.
“The title of the exhibition, ‘Woman Before Fashion’, says it all.… DVF’s pieces are designed first and foremost with the women who wear and live their lives in mind.… I “I always find myself inspired by the amazing women around me and incorporate that into my designs,” she said.
