Aaron Rodgers’ fantasy football breakdown
As the NFL season and fantasy football drafts are getting closer quickly, Pro Football Focus ‘Nathan Janke It broke the feasibility of fantasy in Pittsburgh Steelers QB Aaron Rodgers’ new home. While Rodgers may be useful in a deeper league, Jarnke concluded that it is unlikely that Rodgers will become a viable starter in the 41-year-old season.
“At 41, Rodgers rarely finishes as a top 12 fantasy quarterback in the last three seasons, and there’s little reason to expect him to return to his fantasy starter form. But in the Superflex League, he generally has to be a fantasy starter.
That’s not a surprise given that Rogers hasn’t set up the productions he’s done at the height of his career. In Pittsburgh, there are questions about his supportive cast. Plus, the Steelers may not be leaning too far against Rodgers. As a result, it could hurt his counting statistics, which are truly important in fantasy football.
The Steelers have selected one of the most interesting teams
Brad Gagnon from Bleacher Report believes Signing Aaron Rodgers, the Steelers are worthy of “a few popcorn eating gifs” and have nominated the Steelers among the eight most interesting teams heading into the 2025 NFL season. Gagnon writes that there is a plot on some levels with Rogers, and it would be intriguing if he could lead the Steelers into the playoffs, as if he was crashing and burning.
There is no doubt that the Steelers will be under the microscope this year. They are one of the NFL’s biggest brands and will be the team watching this season by signing four MVPs with Rodgers, who made many headlines over the past few seasons. They are a team that is discussed almost daily by the national media, and training camps have not yet begun. When I see Rogers appearing on the field, it only ramps up and there’s a lot to debate about his tenure in Pittsburgh.
There are no supplemental drafts for this offseason
For the second year in a row, the NFL has not held a supplemental draft. The athletic was reported on Friday This event should not be held this offseason.
The NFL held the supplemental draft in 2023, but no players were selected. It was the first time since 2019 that it was held. Supplementary drafts were created to provide to players who were affected by university eligibility but did not participate in the NFL draft. Notable players selected in past supplemental drafts include WR Chris Carter, QB Bernie Cosar and S Jalen Thompson, who was recently selected by the Arizona Cardinals in the 2019 supplemental draft.
Why isn’t the league holding it, as there were no players eligible for the supplemental draft? If the players are qualified, the league will hold events, but this season it wasn’t. Traditionally, when the draft was last held in 2023, there was only a small pool of players available.
