The Delhi Traffic Police has issued an advisory outlining restrictions and detours on major routes in the national capital ahead of former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh’s state funeral scheduled for 11:45 am on Saturday at Nigambodh Ghat.
The advisory says that keeping in mind the number of foreign dignitaries, VIPs/VVIPs and general public who are likely to visit the crematorium, traffic will be diverted from Raja Ram Kohli Marg, Rajghat Red Light, Signature Bridge and Yudhistar Setu. said that it was done.
Traffic restrictions/diversions will be imposed on Ring Road, Nishad Raj Marg, Main Street, SPM Marg, Lothian Road, Netaji Subhash Marg and surrounding roads/stretchers from 7 am to 3 pm. He said it was possible.
“People are advised to avoid these roads and stretches, as well as areas where queues will be cleared. Avoid parking on the street as this may disrupt normal traffic flow. /If unidentified objects or persons are found, the police should be notified.”, the advisory said.
Singh, an architect of India’s economic reforms, passed away on Thursday night at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences in Delhi due to age-related medical complications. He was 92 years old.
