An unruly JetBlue passenger opened an exit over the wing on a plane about to depart from Boston on Monday, causing the plane to deploy an emergency slide.
The incident occurred Tuesday night at Boston Logan International Airport and was confirmed by JetBlue and the Massachusetts Port Authority (Massport). Massport told FOX Business the suspect was a male passenger.
”[He] “An attempt was made to open the door while the plane was taxiing and the emergency slide was activated,” the official said, adding that no injuries were reported.
Massachusetts State Police (MSP) arrived on scene around 7:25 p.m. and took the passenger into custody. An MSP officer told FOX Business the response was prompted by “reports of a disturbance.”

JetBlue later told FOX Business that flights were delayed as a result of the incident.
”[The] The airline said: “For unknown reasons, a passenger opened the exit over the wing while the aircraft was taxiing to Logan, resulting in the emergency slide being deployed. The individual remained on board the aircraft and Massachusetts State Police responded to the scene. “We were dispatched to the area,” he announced. ”
As of 8:30 p.m., JetBlue said it was “working to get customers departing as soon as possible.”

The incident at Logan Airport wasn’t the only unusual incident involving JetBlue this week. Two bodies were discovered Monday on JetBlue Flight 1801 from JFK Airport in New York City to Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
A JetBlue spokesperson told FOX Business that authorities discovered the body in the plane’s landing gear during a routine maintenance inspection.

“This is a heartbreaking situation and we are committed to working closely with the authorities and supporting their efforts to understand how this happened,” the spokesperson said in a statement.
