Chiefs’ Xavier Worthy won’t be charged in alleged assault case

Kansas City Chiefs Wide Receiver Xavier Worthy is not charged after being arrested Friday night on suspicion of assault in Williamson County, Texas. Austin American nation Saturday.

Worthy, 21, was booked to jail by the Williamson County Sheriff’s Office for assaulting his family and House members by impeding breathing and circulation. Online records did not include details of the arrest. The online court listing of the cases was updated to “Reject/Reject” later on Saturday.

Williamson County District Attorney Sean Dick told politicians that his office refused to file a valuable charge after speaking to multiple witnesses but “continue to evaluate the case.”

“After further investigation by the Williamson County Sheriff’s Office and further discussion with third-party witness Worthy and his lawyers, the case is being denied as the Williamson County Sheriff’s Office investigation is being waited for completion of the investigation,” Dick told politicians. “Werty and his lawyers are fully involved in this investigation.”

The chief said on Saturday that he knows they will gather valuable arrests and information.

According to the player’s lawyer, the woman who was worthy and claimant fought after he asked her to leave his residence. They said the woman caused damage to her property and, among other allegations, had undermined her worthy value, but the wide receiver told police he didn’t want to file a charge.

“We will continue to work with Williamson County authorities because we fully believe that their thorough investigation supports Mr.’s innocence, which is worthy,” the lawyer added in a statement.

In Texas, interfering with the breathing or circulation of a family is a three-degree felony, punished in prison for two to ten years and fined $10,000.

Worthy was the 2024 Chiefs’ first round draft pick. He caught 59 passes for 638 yards and scored nine touchdowns as a rookie.
