Sad news from today’s sports world has passed away as one of the most famous boxers of the present day.
Sources have confirmed that George Foreman has now passed away at the age of 76.
Sports Icon has become famous for his second career as a magnate and media figure, but for decades he has been one of the most famous athletes on the planet.

George Foreman’s family confirms his death statement
Foreman’s family issued a statement confirming his death late Friday evening.
“Our hearts are broken.” announcement read.
“As a dev preacher, a devoted husband, a loving father and a proud grand, great grandfather, he lived a life characterized by unwavering faith, humility and purpose,” the statement continued.
“A humanitarian, an Olympic athlete and a two-time heavyweight champion in the world, he was deeply respected. He is the protector of his power, discipline, belief, and his legacy, and a tireless battle to protect his good name for his family.”


The legend of sports has been lost
Foreman was a two-time heavyweight champion, entrepreneur, author, pastor, and a common name for his generation.
“Big George” is famous for losing the first battle of his career when he ran Muhammad Ali in a match known as the “Rumble of the Jungle” in 1974.
The match is one of the most viewed sports events of all time.


Foreman won the heavyweight gold medal for his dominant performance at the 1968 Olympics in Mexico City.
The most famous victory of his career came in 1973 in the championship match against Joe Frazier in Jamaica.
Foreman ruled his battle with his much-loved opponent, leading to the famous Howard Cossel Cole “Down Goes Fraser!”


Legends are more than twice
In his later years, Foreman became one of the most successful advertising pitchmen of all time.
His George Foreman Lean Average Fat Reduction Grill Machine (later known simply as “The Foreman Grill”), is also one of America’s most popular kitchen utensils.
At the time of his death, Foreman remained one of the world’s most famous athletes.
