good morning. It’s not just a devastating storm. It’s a historic, history-making storm. The community is devastated. Loved ones are waiting, but we don’t know if their loved ones are okay. I can’t contact you because my cell phone doesn’t work. Many more people are evacuating with no idea when they will be able to return home or if they will have a home to return to. I have directed my team to provide all available resources to the community as soon as possible to begin rescue, recovery and reconstruction. In addition to FEMA, it also includes the Federal Communications Commission, which helps establish communications capabilities. The National Guard, Army Corps of Engineers, and Department of Defense will provide all resources to assist with rescue, debris removal, and delivery of life-saving supplies. More than 3,600 personnel have been deployed to date. The number is increasing day by day. As President, I have seen with my own eyes the devastating toll these disasters take on families and communities. Since becoming president, I have been on the ground in many disaster-stricken areas. I am here to tell all the survivors in these affected areas that we are with you for as long as it takes.
