ASUS ExpertBook P1 Review: Last month, ASUS launched its ExpertBook P1 in India, a laptop powered by AI. According to the company, the model offers high performance, high durability, excellent battery backup, seamless scalability, enterprise-grade security and enterprise-grade service support. But is that really as good as the company claims? Let’s look into this review.
ASUS ExpertBook P1 Review: Price, Processor
The ASUS ExpertBook P1 comes with an Intel Core 13th Gen I7 (H Series) processor and 32GB of DDR5 RAM.
Asus ExpertBook P1 Review: View, Design
The ExpertBook P1 is supported by MIL-STD-810H certification, making it lightweight (weighted only 1.6 kg) yet durable, making it ideal for travel and tough handling. The body is mostly plastic, but metal frames add structural strength. The matte finish of mist gray color helps to hide your fingerprints.
So let’s talk about displays. The laptop features a 14-inch full HD display, especially for everyday tasks such as indoor or indirect light, thanks to its anti-glare coating. However, NTSC has only 45% coverage and limited color accuracy, making it insufficient for creative work with bright light. There are dual speakers that provide clear audio. We used the device to hold several virtual meetings and casual music and video sessions, but the audio was very clear.
ASUS ExpertBook P1 Review: Battery, Charging
Speaking of the battery, there is a 50W battery, which doesn’t seem very impressive on paper, but it worked very well during daily use. This was Google Docs, lots of chrome tabs, YouTube running in the background. I’ve got about 5-6 hours for this kind of workload, and this really feels good. Especially because they weren’t trying to save on batteries.
But what really stood out to us was the charging setup. It comes with a 65W Type-C charger and even better, it was able to charge using a third-party power bank. So, in our view, we didn’t have to carry the charger anywhere. This is very convenient.
ASUS ExpertBook P1 Review: Performance
The ExpertBook P1 is equipped with the 13th generation Intel Core I7-13620H and 32GB of LPDDR5 RAM. During testing, the device handled everything like Outlook, Slack, Spreadsheets Open, WhatsApp Web Running, Spotify Playing, and other 10+ browser tabs smoothly. The processors are not up to date, but they provide enough power for daily tasks and medium-intensive workloads. However, this machine is not suitable for regular gameplaying high-end graphics, compiling large codebases, or editing 4K videos.
ASUS ExpertBook P1 Review: What we felt could have been better
In summary, here are some things I think we might have gotten better:
– It should provide limited color accuracy and improve it.
– Not ideal for high-end gaming. The graphics need to be improved.
– Suitable for photo editing, but high-end video editing needs improvements
ASUS ExpertBook P1 Review: Verdict
If you’re an expert and want a hassle-free laptop, the Asus ExpertBook P1 is for you. Handle everyday tasks easily with 13th Generation Intel I7 and 32GB DDR5 RAM.
